Throughout my life I have had the occasional experience where I felt like I was tapping into some deep knowing, I felt confident, and calm even in times of chaos. I somehow knew what to do and what was needed. For most of my life those moments felt fleeting, they didn’t last and I didn’t know how to make those time happen more often.
I now experience much more control over being able to be connected to that calm confidence, the part of me that knows what I need. It has changed my entire perspective on life and counseling.
I now see my role as a guide for you…..back to your “self.” I focus on helping you connect to the part of you that is wise, confident, calm, and compassionate.
Let me help you get to know the parts of you that are stuck. Stuck in rage, guilt, fear, people pleasing and unable to ask for what you want or need. These parts may be stuck in the cycle of food addiction and unhealthy eating behaviors or avoiding intimacy. The role these parts have taken on once served an important purpose; maybe to numb or to distract you from pain or discomfort.
Now, you are ready for something different. Now, these behaviors are holding you back.
Healing the pain of the past opens you up to your inner wisdom, joy, confidence, compassion and love.

Do you feel overlooked in your senior years? As I enter my mid 70’s, I am especially aware of this disparity. It is my mission to provide compassionate, relatable care to folks over 60.
I am so glad you are taking the time to invest in yourself and I am grateful to be considered as your therapist. I have over 40 years of experience in helping people heal. I work best with seniors who are adjusting to the transitions and challenges of later adulthood.
These challenges may Include:
- Reconnecting with one’s purpose
- Adjusting to divorce or loss of a spouse or partner
- Confronting loneliness
- Navigating conflict with adult children
- Chronic health issues
- Building community
- Addressing unresolved trauma, including religious trauma
I have special expertise in supporting grandparents who are adjusting to guardianship of grandchildren.
I offer family sessions in which i help you navigate changing family dynamics and establish mutual understanding and greater harmony.
I draw from indigenous spiritual practices, energy work, family systems therapy, traditional CBT, and trauma focused modalities.

Out beyond ideas of wrongdoing and rightdoing,
There is a field. I’ll meet you there.
When the soul lies down in that grass,
The world is too full to talk about.
Ideas, language, even the phrase each other
Doesn’t make any sense.
