IFS therapy at Wildflower Center is rooted in the belief that every part of you has a story and a purpose. Instead of trying to get rid of anxiety, anger, numbness, or self-criticism, we gently get to know these inner voices and the roles they have been forced to play.
In session, we slow down and notice what different parts of you are feeling, saying, and needing. Over time, a calmer, wiser inner presence - what IFS calls Self - begins to come forward with more clarity and compassion.
From this place, protective parts can relax, and wounded parts can finally receive the care they have long needed. IFS can be especially helpful if you feel like "there are so many sides of me" or you are constantly at war with yourself. Clients often report less inner chaos, more self-trust, and a deeper sense of wholeness, even while life around them remains imperfect.
